Terminal é o terceiro da nova rodada de concessão

A Aena, maior operadora aeroportuária do mundo em número de passageiros, assumiu nesta terça-feira (17) a administração do aeroporto de Congonhas, em São Paulo. O primeiro voo sob a nova gestão foi o Gol 1553, proveniente de Recife e com pouso no terminal da capital paulista às 6h03.

A primeira decolagem foi do voo Azul 4006, às 6h09, com destino a Belo Horizonte. Na primeira meia-hora de operação, foram 12 voos com 100% de pontualidade. 

O aeroporto de Congonhas teve um fluxo de 22,2 milhões de passageiros em 2019, último ano antes da pandemia. Em 2022, foram 17,7 milhões passageiros. Até agosto deste ano, já passaram pelo terminal 14,1 milhões passageiros. Localizado na cidade de são Paulo, o equipamento é o segundo mais movimentado do Brasil, conta com a segunda ponte aérea mais movimentada em termos de assentos ofertados na América Latina e é o terceiro mais conectado domesticamente no continente.  

Entre as melhorias de curto prazo para o terminal da capital paulista, estão ampliação da sala de embarque remoto, readequação das vias de acesso, reforma dos banheiros e revitalização da fachada. Na Fase I-B, os principais investimentos serão a revitalização dos pavimentos das pistas de táxi, ampliação do pátio de aeronaves, com novas posições de contato, e outras melhorias ambientais e de sustentabilidade. Também a construção de um novo terminal de passageiros, com mais pontes de embarque e uma experiência de viagem completamente nova para o passageiro. A entrega das obras da Fase I-B de Congonhas está prevista para junho de 2028.  

Em agosto do ano passado, a Aena venceu a licitação da sétima rodada de concessões para gerir 11 aeroportos nos Estados de Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul e Pará. O aeroporto de Congonhas é o terceiro dessa rodada a passar para o controle da Aena. A empresa assumirá a operação dos demais aeroportos, de forma escalonada, até o dia 30 de novembro.  

Antes mesmo de iniciar as operações, a Aena já realizou investimento de R$ 3,3 bilhões em pagamentos iniciais. Durante a primeira fase do processo, foram feitas a elaboração e aprovação dos planos de transferência operacionais. Para isso, a companhia fez visitas técnicas aos 11 aeroportos com uma equipe de mais de 60 profissionais, que participaram de 40 reuniões com cerca de 100 stakeholders diferentes. A Aena também promoveu quase 14 mil horas de treinamento a mais de 170 profissionais que vão atuar nesses aeroportos. 

Atualmente, a companhia opera o aeroporto de Uberlândia e mais seis aeródromos no Nordeste do Brasil – Recife (PE), Maceió (AL), João Pessoa (PB), Aracaju (SE), Campina Grande (PB) e Juazeiro do Norte (CE).

A empresa já investiu cerca de R$ 2 bilhões em obras, equipamentos e sistemas para melhorar tecnologia, segurança e conforto, implantando o padrão Aena nestes equipamentos, com ampliação dos espaços e acréscimo de capacidade operacional. Este projeto colocará os terminais do Nordeste em uma posição ideal para enfrentar o crescimento futuro e seguir contribuindo para o desenvolvimento econômico e a estruturação regional.? 

Ao final do processo da nova rodada, a Aena estará presente em nove estados do país, com a gestão de 17 equipamentos que são responsáveis por cerca de 20% do tráfego aéreo nacional.

    • 27/11 – Santarém (PA)
    • 30/11 – Altamira (PA)
