Educação, infraestrutura e energia terão os maiores investimentos do Novo PAC no Maranhão – MARANHÃO Hoje
Estado se destaca como oitavo que mais recebeu recursos
Dos R$ 94 bilhões em investimentos que o Maranhão está recebendo do Novo Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC), cerca de 65% dos recursos irão para três eixos fundamentais ao desenvolvimento do estado: educação, infraestrutura e energia. A avaliação foi feita pelo governador Carlos Brandão durante entrevista concedida à TV Mirante, nesta terça-feira (7), na qual ele destacou também obras de saneamento básico e a antecipação da renovação da concessão do Porto do Itaqui para o Maranhão.
Durante a entrevista, o governador Carlos Brandão explicou como foi o processo de seleção dos projetos maranhenses contemplados pelo Novo PAC.
“Para se conseguir um volume de recursos deste, R$ 94 bilhões, é preciso muito trabalho e uma boa parceria entre a nossa equipe, que elaborou os projetos e programas, e a equipe da Casa Civil, liderada pelo ministro Rui Costa. Foram seis meses de trabalho e o resultado é que o Maranhão se destaca como o oitavo estado que mais recebeu recursos do Novo PAC”, explicou.
O chefe do Executivo Estadual também informou como será feita a aplicação desses recursos. “É importante esclarecer para a população que esses R$ 94 bilhões não virão para o caixa do governo do Estado. Esses recursos representam uma série de investimentos em obras e ações que incluem recursos do governo federal, do governo do Estado e de parcerias público-privadas”, assinalou.
De todos os eixos de investimentos nos quais o Maranhão foi contemplado, o governador Carlos Brandão destacou três que, segundo sua avaliação, estão entre os fundamentais para o desenvolvimento do estado por serem áreas estruturantes.
Na Educação, serão investidos cerca de R$ 20 bilhões. Em infraestrutura, serão cerca de R$ 15 bilhões de investimentos em rodovias, ferrovias, portos e aeroportos. Outros R$ 30 bilhões serão investidos no setor energético. Estes setores somam em torno de 65% do volume de recursos destinados pelo programa.
“Tem ainda investimentos em outras áreas como o Minha Casa Minha Vida, que o Maranhão é o segundo estado que mais vai receber investimentos. Eu estou muito feliz porque todos esses investimentos vão gerar milhares de empregos no nosso estado”, reforçou o governador Carlos Brandão.
O setor de saneamento básico também foi citado por Brandão, especialmente os investimentos destinados para Barreirinhas. São R$ 180 milhões destinados para obras de abastecimento de água, rede coletora e tratamento de esgoto, fundamentais para fortalecer o turismo na cidade.
As duas maiores cidades do estado também foram contempladas com recursos na área. São Luís terá investimentos de R$ 550 milhões e Imperatriz, R$ 350 milhões. Além disso, mais de 70 outros municípios receberão obras para a implantação de sistemas de abastecimento de água.
Na entrevista desta terça-feira, o governador do Estado ressaltou, ainda, a importância da renovação da concessão do Porto do Itaqui para o Maranhão. “Houve uma antecipação da renovação da concessão, que ainda estava válida por dois anos e já foi renovada para mais 25 anos. Esta medida é importante porque garante segurança jurídica e política para os empresários que têm interesse em investir no Porto do Itaqui. Nós temos assegurados investimentos privados de R$ 4 bilhões no porto”, disse Carlos Brandão.
Ele reforçou a importância do Porto do Itaqui para o estado. “O Porto do Itaqui gera, entre empregos diretos e indiretos, 16 mil postos de trabalho no nosso estado. Ele é também um vetor de entrada e saída de mercadorias para o mundo, em especial para a China”, informou o governador do Maranhão.
O lançamento oficial do Novo PAC no Maranhão aconteceu na segunda-feira (6), em São Luís, com a participação do governador Carlos Brandão e dos ministros Rui Costa, da Casa Civil e coordenador nacional do programa; Silvio Costa, dos Portos e Aeroportos; Juscelino Filho, das Comunicações; e André Fufuca, do Esporte.
Ao todo, o Novo PAC vai investir 1,7 trilhão em todo o Brasil.
